The Thessaloniki PathoCERT pilot exercise concluded triumphantly. More than 100 people took part and attended the exercise organized by THESSALONIKI WATER SUPPLY & SEWERAGE CO. S.A. – EYATH S.A., on Friday, October 13 at the Thessaloniki Drinking Water Treatment Plant as well as by the Hellenic Rescue Team on Saturday, October 14 in the Delta of the river Axios.
This “double” exercise was about testing new developing technologies for the rapid detection of pathogens in water that is treated for the delivery of drinking water to the city, but also for better coordination of parties involved in search and rescue incidents.
